Songs in The Garden: A Songwriting Workshop

Experience the fusion of melodies and artistry at Songs in The Garden: A Songwriting Workshop (SITG), seamlessly blending with our annual Art in The Garden Festival (AITG).

On June 6th, join Saskatchewan music legends Earl Pereira, Jay Semko, and Katelyn Lehner for an exclusive songwriting workshop. Craft your own musical masterpiece under their mentorship in a collaborative group.  Our mentors will be walking you through the entire process. There will be opportunities for critiques of your original songs from our mentors.  Lunch is included.

Interested participants can receive a $50 discount off the workshop price by helping set up for the Art in The Garden Festival on Friday, June 7, as well as enjoying a Family Dinner and Open Stage on Friday. Then, on June 8th, workshop participants perform their songs at the festival alongside their group, followed by an opportunity to showcase one of their own original songs on our festival stage.

SITG offers more than songwriting—it’s a chance to gain festival setup and stage performance experience and share your music with an audience eager to hear your story. Join us for this harmonious journey from workshop to festival stage.

Art in The Garden Festival

Wiebe Works is proud to present this event as part of our mission to provide a platform for artists from a variety of cultural backgrounds to showcase their craft. The Wiebe family owns a farm near Langham & Saskatoon, Saskatchewan that has played host to local creatives of all types for the past 4 years at the Art in the Garden Festival.

Bringing together the community around a celebration of art and music in all its forms, this is an annual summer festival that has been growing in size and scope since 2020.

The event consists of two main components, art and music. On the art side, there is an artisan market where artists will present their works for sale.

On the music side, there is a non-stop line up of local performers who entertain guests throughout the day, starting around noon until late. Each year, the acts cover a diversity of music genres, ranging from bluegrass, to folk, rock, reggae, and hip hop and come from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

It is a family-friendly show and we provide a children’s area, making this event fun for everyone to attend.  The children’s area includes a balloon twister, face painting, puppies, a craft, story time, and more!

Art in The Garden Festival is also proud to host local food and beverage vendors for our festival goers to enjoy.  In 2023 we hosted Road Coffee,  Taco ‘Bout It, Custom Shaved Ice, Postal Pizza, Crossmount Cider, 9 Mile Legacy Brewing, Stumbletown, and Great Western.

Tickets are $10 for general admission, children 12 and under are free and tickets sold at the door are $15
