Art in The Studio was a new event this year for Wiebe Works. We had a several day gallery show featuring 5 local artists, Valerie Wiebe, JoAnn Marie, Harley Sinclair, Diane Porter, and Ahmad Touqani at The Studio in the Midtown Plaza. On the final day we had a reception with an artist Q and A with snacks and drinks from JuJu B’s Bakery, Gryffin Takeaway, 9 Mile Legacy Brewing, and Stumbletown.

Art in The Garden Festival keeps getting bigger and better every year! Headliner Oral Fuentes along with 16 other performers and groups graced the stage along with 18 artisan vendors in the market and 4 local food trucks!

WieCan Make Prints art workshop made it’s debut this summer where participants got to make lino-cut prints in both colour and black and white. We had Marsha Cannon-Schuld come out to Wiebe Works and teach our class all the basics and by the end, had everyone leaving with a new found confidence and joy for making prints.

Wiebe Works hosted a Chef’s Dinner with Chef Douglas Hyndford, the Executive Chef at Wanuskewin. He made a beautiful 5 course meal and it was paired with 5 hand crafted cocktails from Black Fox Farm and Distillery. The attendees were serenaded all night by Yellowsky, an Indigenous and Chilean Reggae Hip Hop artist and DJ Mind Merge.
